The members of the Production Cristal Academy welcomed the success of the 3 Young Talent Contests that took place last December in Crans Montana during the Cristal Festival. “This year saw the best selection of young talent since 2001, with 578 short films screened for the Young Directors Forum, 54 gifted composers participating in the Soundtrack Advertising Contest and 63 synopsis were judged for the Scriptwriting for Brand Content Contest“.

The Gunn Report just named Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and Portland as the two most awarded agencies in the world in 2011. Congratulations to Eric Quennoy, Executive Creative Director of W+K Amsterdam whose campaigns “Write the future” for Nike and “The entrance” for Heineken were ranked as the top campaigns last year. Eric Quennoy chaired the Film & Print Jury of the latest Cristal Festival in Crans Montana last December.

Increase of the attendance!

The 11th edition of the Cristal Festival that was held from 7 to 11 December in Crans Montana increased its attendance. “The number of delegates has raised by 9% with more than 1000 delegates”, says Christian Cappe, CEO of the Cristal Festival. “This rise made us open a new conference room to welcome the keynote speakers, a new auditorium for the awards ceremonies and 4 special trains (instead of 2 last year) were ordered. The increase is also due to the development of the Brand Entertainment, the Photography & Illustration Professional Meetings, the strong attendance of the advertisers and the quality of the conferences, with the closing conference of Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia”.
